ATC Engraving Processing Center

T6 ATC Engraving Processing Center

The MNT T6 is an engraving processing center that adds an automatic tool changer to MNT’s rigid, stress-relieved router platform. A 4-tool linear ATC and a high-power ATC spindle let it run multi-tool jobs without stopping to change cutters — for engraving, milling and cutting across a wide material range.

Why MNT

Why the T6 Runs Without an Operator Standing By

A four-tool changer is the difference between a machine someone watches and a machine that finishes the job.

4-Tool Linear ATC

4-Tool Linear ATC

  • Roughing, finishing, chamfering and drilling inside one program — no stopping to swap cutters
  • 9 kW air-cooled or 7.5 / 11 kW water-cooled ATC spindle
  • Weihong 280 industrial controller
  • For distributors: the ATC is what converts a one-operator-one-machine shop into a two-machine shop — that labour argument closes faster than any spec comparison

The Same Rigid Platform, Now Multi-Tool

  • Inline welded, stress-relieved bed, single-setup gantry-milled — shared with the T5
  • Servo drive on X/Y/Z; wood, acrylic, ABS, insulating board and bakelite
  • G-code and PLT with the mainstream CAM packages
  • For distributors: tool holders and collets for a 4-position magazine are a recurring order you control — specify the starter set with the machine. spare-parts commitment, territory and technical training are set out on our partnership page

Why an ATC Changes What a Router Can Do

Most engraving jobs need more than one tool — a roughing bit, a finishing bit, a drill, a profiling cutter. On a manual router the operator stops the job to swap each one, which costs time and reintroduces positioning error every change. The T6’s 4-tool linear automatic tool changer removes that: the program calls each tool in sequence and the machine swaps it in seconds, so multi-stage jobs run start-to-finish unattended.

That only works if the platform underneath is rigid enough to trust between tool changes. The T6 uses the same welded, quenched and stress-relieved bed finish-machined in a single gantry-mill setup as MNT’s precision routers, so the datum stays constant across every tool call. A high-power ATC spindle — 9 kW air-cooled or up to 11 kW water-cooled — gives the torque headroom to move from light engraving to heavier milling within one program.

Driven by a Weihong 280 industrial controller and servo motors on all axes, the T6 behaves like a small machining center: load the stock, run the program, collect finished parts.

For shop planning, review OSHA guidance on machine guarding and wood dust exposure when routing wood, acrylic, ACP, stone or composite boards. For international machine safety planning, ISO 19085-3 is a useful reference for numerically controlled boring and routing machines.

FAQ

T6 ATC Engraving Processing Center FAQ

What is the T6 ATC Engraving Processing Center Used For?

The MNT T6 is used for multi-tool engraving, milling, drilling and cutting of rigid sheet materials. It is suitable for signage, furniture, cabinetry, acrylic fabrication, composite panels, stone engraving and industrial component processing.

What Does ATC Mean on the T6 CNC Router?

ATC means automatic tool changer. The T6 can change tools automatically during one program, so roughing, finishing, drilling, grooving and cutting can run without manual tool replacement.

How Many Tools Does the T6 Automatic Tool Changer Hold?

The standard T6 uses a 4-tool linear-type automatic tool changer. This is suitable for common multi-process jobs that require different cutters in one machining cycle.

What Materials Can the T6 Process?

The T6 can process wood, acrylic, ABS, insulating board, bakelite, PVC, aluminium composite panel, stone, nylon, plasterboard and fibreglass. The final result depends on material thickness, cutter type, spindle speed and feed rate.

What is the Working Area of the T6?

The standard T6 working area is 1300 × 2500 mm. This 1325 size is suitable for full-size panels, acrylic sheets, cabinet parts, signage boards and medium-format industrial materials.

What Spindle Options Are Available for the T6?

The T6 can be configured with a 9 kW air-cooled ATC spindle or a 7.5 / 11 kW water-cooled ATC spindle. The right spindle depends on your material, cutting depth, daily runtime and machining process.

How is the T6 Different from the T5 Precision CNC Router?

The T5 is a single-spindle precision CNC router. The T6 adds a 4-tool linear ATC and high-power ATC spindle, making it better for unattended multi-tool engraving, drilling, milling and cutting jobs.

Is the T6 Suitable for Cabinet and Furniture Production?

Yes. The T6 is suitable for cabinet doors, furniture panels, decorative boards, grooves, holes, edge shaping and profile cutting. The automatic tool changer helps complete several processes in one setup.

What Software and File Formats Does the T6 Support?

The T6 supports G-code and PLT files. It can work with common CAD/CAM workflows from Type3, Mastercam, ArtCAM, AutoCAD, UG, CorelDRAW and other compatible software.

What Should I Prepare Before Installation?

Please prepare AC 380V / 50Hz / 3-phase power, enough floor space, dust extraction, suitable cutters, CAD/CAM files and trained operators. MNT can confirm the site requirements before delivery.

Is the T6 Suitable for Stone and Fibreglass Processing?

Yes, the T6 can process stone and fibreglass when matched with the right spindle, cutter, feed rate and dust-control setup. Please confirm your material thickness and required edge or engraving quality before ordering.
