The two standard M1631 configurations solve different mechanical problems. The M1631 moving-table model uses C5 ground ball screws and HIWIN linear guides to support precise motion over a 3000 x 1500 mm table. Its 11 kW water-cooled ATC spindle and NBT40 tool interface are suitable when tool rigidity and repeatable machining accuracy are priorities.

The MC1631 moving-gantry model keeps the workpiece on a sectioned vacuum table while the gantry moves over a 1600 x 3100 mm area. Its 12-position linear tool magazine, 9 kW 24000 RPM air-cooled spindle, STOBER rack transmission on X/Y and 270 mm Z travel make it better suited to heavier or taller workpieces.
